Microgravity Manufacturing

One specific area of future expansion for the company will be biological manufacturing in microgravity. Understanding that organisms behave differently in microgravity has led several NASA-funded researchers to hypothesize the capability to expand our methodology for biopharmaceutical manufacturing (or industrial bio-manufacturing) significantly. It has been well documented that many organisms grown in space exhibit a gambit of altered expression profiles. By exploiting these unique characteristics, researcher may be able to expand terrestrial bio-manufacturing processes significantly. The company seeks out processing systems and model bio-manufacturing processes that exhibit the potential to improve in the microgravity environment of space.
